ClickSold IDX plugin not functioning properly

This troubleshooting guide will help you solve issues that may occur at any time after the ClickSold IDX plugin is installed, activated, and authorized.
All WordPress plugins can fail after installation (even if it was working fine before), sometimes becoming deactivated/corrupted/missing. Typically, this is caused by changes in 3rd party software.
If any new error messages appear while following this guide, note it and proceed to the next step.

Check the ClickSold IDX Plugin Status

  1. In your WordPress Dashboard, click Plugins
  2. Verify that ClickSold IDX appears normally in the list, then proceed to the next section. Here's an example of how it should look:

    • If you also see an update is available (like in the example image below), click update now. When it's done updating, check if it resolved the issue.

    • If you see links for Options, that means the plugin is deactivated. Click Activate and check to see if that resolves the problem.
    • If ClickSold IDX was nowhere to be found in the list, follow this guide to reinstall it and check to see if that resolves the problem.

Deactivate and Reactivate ClickSold IDX Plugin

  1. Click Deactivate and wait for the Plugin Deactivated message to appear.
  2. Now click Activate and wait for the Plugin Activated message to appear.
  3. Verify if the issue is resolved. If the problem persists or you notice any new errors, proceed to the next step.

Uninstall and Reinstall the ClickSold IDX Plugin

  1. Click Deactivate and wait for the Plugin Deactivated message to appear again.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Click Yes, Delete These Files on the confirmation screen.

    Don't worry, your settings will be preserved. It will only delete all of the ClickSold plugin installation files, which is safe.
    When you are taken back to the WordPress Dashboard, you should see a The selected plugins have been deleted message.

    Now to reinstall...
  4. Click Add New
  5. Type "ClickSold" in the search field then click the Search Plugins button

  6. ClickSold IDX appears in the search results. Click Install Now.

  7. Click OK to confirm and the plugin will install.

  8. When the successfully install message appears, click Activate Plugin and the reinstallation is completed.

Check for 3rd Party Plugin Conflicts

  1. Make a list of all Active plugins.
  2. Temporarily Deactivate ALL plugins.
  3. Re-Activate only the ClickSold IDX plugin.
  4. Test to see if the issue is resolved (check any applicable ClickSold pages such as Listings, MLS-search, and/or Communities) and determine if the problem is resolved.
    • If the issue appears to be fixed, you can determine which other plugin is causing the conflict by doing the following:
      1. Re-enable only one of the originally activated plugins
      2. Re-test to see if it has re-broke the ClickSold IDX plugin
      3. Repeat the process until you determine which plugin is causing the conflict.
        • When you find out which one it is:
          1. Install updates for it if available or check with the manufacturer of that plugin (or Google) if there is a solution.
          2. Report the issue to us
    • If the issue persists, please proceed to the next step.

Check for Theme Conflicts

  1. Temporarily change your theme to one of the default WordPress free themes. Examples of those themes would be:
    • Twenty Ten
    • Twenty Eleven
    • Twenty Twelve
  2. Check if your issue is resolved. If yes, follow the steps on the Custom Theme is Broken page for a general guide on how to fix issues with themes
  3. If this guide did not resolve the problem, please contact us with the full details of the issue you are having.
